Co-Founder and Principal Managing Partner
David is a principal managing partner, co-founder, and the chief strategist of Atlanta Capital Group. David oversees investment management, comprehensive planning, and retirement plan services to ensure the divisions are working cohesively towards the firm’s vision and principals. He constantly seeks out approaches to make the best use of Atlanta Capital Group’s working capital and to maintain growth and market leadership.
David began his career 13 years ago at A.G. Edwards and Sons, where he earned many of the firm’s top achievement awards. He then joined Morgan Keegan and Co., where he became one of the top financial advisors and was named a First Vice President.
In 2002, David joined Jody Young and Jeff Shaver in forming Atlanta Capital Group. Their independent wealth advisory firm is based on their common vision and philosophy: put clients first, establish their trust, provide unbiased advice, and build lasting client relationships.
David and his wife Caroline have four children: daughters Liza and Ellie and sons John and William. The family attends Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. With a growing family, there’s little recreational time available, but you can occasionally find David on the golf course.
